Mouth tape for sleep and gentle nasal-breathing routines

Resty mouth tape supports a gently closed-mouth position while you sleep. It is designed as a light physical cue for adults who can already breathe comfortably through their nose, not as a treatment for snoring or sleep apnoea.

Choose your mouth-tape shape

  • H-Shape: super-soft support with space around the centre of the lips.
  • Advanced H-Shape: a firmer hold for sleep and sport-related nasal-breathing practice.
  • X-Shape: the compact all-rounder with less skin contact.

How to use mouth tape safely

  1. Check that you can breathe freely through your nose.
  2. Test the tape briefly while awake before trying it at night.
  3. Apply to clean, dry skin without stretching the tape.
  4. Fold a small removal tab and remove gently in the morning.
  5. Stop immediately if breathing feels restricted, panic or irritation develops.

When not to use mouth tape

Do not use mouth tape when your nose is blocked or when you cannot breathe comfortably through it. Do not use it as a treatment for sleep apnoea, with significant breathing problems, or for children without guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. Ask a clinician before combining mouth tape with CPAP or other prescribed sleep treatment.

Mouth tape, nasal strips or both?

A nasal strip supports the outside of the nose. Mouth tape provides a gentle cue for lip position. If nasal breathing is not clear and comfortable, do not add mouth tape. Start with the simplest suitable option and never force nasal-only breathing.

Comfort, skin and facial hair

Patch-test if your skin is sensitive. H-Shape and X-Shape designs offer different contact areas around facial hair. Remove slowly and stop using the product if redness, swelling, skin damage or persistent discomfort appears.
