Description

The Resty Daylight Lamp brings bright full-spectrum light to dark mornings and your desk. Its specified output is up to approximately 10,000 lux at 80 cm in full-spectrum mode. Five brightness levels and a timer let you adjust the light to your setup. Separate 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared modes are also included.

Buying a daylight lamp: compare light at your sitting distance

A 10,000-lux label is only useful with a distance. Check the space between your face and the lamp, the beam direction and the brightness setting. Resty lists about 80 cm as its reference distance. Moving farther away, sitting outside the beam or dimming the lamp reduces the light reaching you.

How to use the daylight lamp at your desk

Place it in front of your morning or work setup and follow the manual for the selected mode. You do not need to stare into the LEDs. Keep bright daylight mode for the morning or daytime. Adjust the brightness for comfort and stop if the light causes discomfort. There is no universal session length for every person or mode.

The EVERFINE HAAS-1200 report records 1,428 lm, 5,430 K and CRI Ra 89.4. The approximate 10,000 lux at 80 cm is derived from light output and the 30° lens geometry; it is not a direct lux measurement at that distance in the report. Actual illuminance depends on your position and settings.

The Resty Daylight Lamp was tested with an EVERFINE HAAS-1200 spectroradiometer. Full-spectrum mode produces a continuous curve across the visible range, close to natural daylight at 5430 K, unlike the narrow spike of a standard white LED.

How far away should it be?

For approximately 10,000 lux, place the panel around 80 cm away, aimed at your face. The 30-degree lenses create a focused beam of about 43 cm wide at that distance, so position the panel directly in front of you rather than off to the side. You do not need to stare into the LEDs; having the light in your field of view is enough.

How is it different from a normal lamp?

Sunlike is built around full spectrum daylight intensity and dedicated red light modes. A normal lamp is mostly just room lighting.
