A red light therapy panel is an LED device that shines red and near-infrared light on a chosen area of the body, from the distance given in its manual, as part of a regular home routine. In this collection, MARS panels run from the compact MARS 400 (60 LEDs, 660 and 850 nm) to the full-body MARS 2000 (864 LEDs); MARS 600 through 2000 offer nine selectable wavelengths across blue, red and near-infrared light (480–1060 nm). Red light therapy at home: which MARS panel is right for you?
MARS 400 is compact and suited to targeted areas. MARS 600 is the practical all-rounder for daily use. MARS 800 provides wider coverage, while MARS 1000, 1200 and 2000 are intended for larger body areas and more spacious setups. MARS 400 has three light modes (red, near-infrared or both) and an automatic 10-minute timer. MARS 600 through 2000 offer nine selectable wavelengths (480, 590, 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850 and 1060 nm), brightness control per wavelength and touchscreen, remote and app control. Sizes, LED counts, rated power and wavelengths are taken from the product specifications.

Frequently asked questions about red light panels
Is a red light panel the same as an infrared heat lamp?
No. An infrared heat lamp is bought for noticeable, focused warmth. A wavelength-rated LED panel such as MARS is bought for a repeatable red and near-infrared light routine in which heat is not the main specification.
Does a higher wattage mean a better panel?
Not on its own. The model number is not the wattage: MARS 600, for example, has a rated power of 120 W. More watts or more wavelengths do not by themselves prove a better result, so choose a panel that fits the area you want to cover and your setup.
How should you start with a red light panel?
- Start with short sessions and build gradually according to the manual.
- Keep the recommended distance from the panel.
- Use eye protection whenever the manual advises it.
- Choose a model that is easy to use consistently.
